2 Charming Chicks

2 Charming Chicks is based on my dream of having several of my favorite passions combined. I love to craft and working with seniors is very rewarding. I have turned a dream and inspiration into a reality. Spending more time with family and friends has been a blessing. It is a joy to volunteer in the facilities and do a craft or play games. As for the teen scene, 2 Charming Chicks Sparkles & Sprinkles Mums & More has had a blast designing homecoming mums and various spirit projects. And for those that love the sweets Sugar & Spice. 2 Charming Chicks has made many new friends. We look forward to meeting many more as 2 Charming Chicks travel the craft show circuit.

 2 Charming Chicks dedicates itself to a true and total emphasis on making a difference.  We believe that it is the quality of the visit, not the quantity of hours spent or money spent, that will touch people's lives. We hope to touch the hearts and souls of those you love.

Who We Are

Founder/Owner 2 Charming Chicks - Howdy, my name is Tara Cruz .(Proud Aggie mom.) I am a Navy wife (married for 24 years now) with 3 beautiful children-2 girls and a boy. My oldest daughter is attending Texas A&M at College Station. Gig'em! She is active in the Resident Hall Association and the Pre-Vet Society.She also volunteers at the local animal shelter. My youngest daughter also attends Texas A&M. She is active in the Resident Hall Association and Break Away.  Both daughters are also active in 2 Charming Chicks.My son is a dedicated athlete he plays varsity football (Go O line!). I also care for my mother - for more than 20 years now and cared for my father until his passing.  I've been involved in the PTA,NJROTC Booster club,Athletics Booster club, Boy and Girl Scouts of America, and I was an Ombudsman for 2 U.S. Naval Commands. I enjoy spending time with my family. And being a part of my mother's journey with dementia.

The inspiration for 2 Charming Chicks comes from 2 different avenues in my life that I am excited to bring together.  Several years ago, I owned my own craft shop in California, which was perfect for me - I enjoy meeting new people and I love to create cute, eye-catching gifts.  When we moved to Texas, I decided to go into the  senior industry and I never left!  I have spent more than 10 years working with seniors - as a caregiver, on call phones, Staffing Coordinator and Office Director for a major senior care company here in San Antonio. Working with seniors truly is a joy. I have learned many things with all my clients through the years. Each one has touched my heart and my soul. I treasure each story and lessons they have taught me.

2 Charming Chicks is a way for me to combine gift-delivery and Senior Helper services. But most important it allows my mother to stay busy and active with hobbies she loves and to be part of the business. We call her Mama Hen or Miss Daisy. She has really taken to doing mums with 2 Charming Chicks Sparkles and Sprinkles Mums & More. She  loves to attend football games and enjoys the half time shows. 2 Charming Chicks allow me to cherish every moment I spend with her.  

Senior Partner/Community Relations Coordinator/Crafter of 2 Charming Chicks - Hi, I'm Rachel Martinez.I've been married for 9 years and my husband works for the Bexar County Sheriff's Office.  I have 2 children - my son enjoys baseball and touch football and my daughter is learning gymnastics.  I was an assistant for the Law Enforcement Explorers Troop.  I began caregiving a few years ago after my mother began working at a home health agency.  She enjoyed working with seniors so much that I decided to try it myself!  I love it - I worked as a caregiver and then also as a recruiter in the office.  I am excited to meet you!

Newsletter/Administrative Assistants - Francesca and Natasha (yep these are my chickies!) Francesca is a proud Aggie class of 2012! She is active with Resident Hall Association and Pre Vet Society and also volunteers at the local animal shelter in Bryan. Natasha is a proud Aggie class of 2013 she is involved in Resident Hall Association and Break Away.
